breed for Temperament, Orthopedic Soundness and BRAINS.
We
focus primarily on European working lines of which we believe produce
more genetically, structurally, and mentally sound dogs.
Our Shepherds are all from working
backgrounds, which produces the loyalty and mental soundness needed to
produce family companions who will protect when called upon in real life
situations.

-- East Tennessee K9 is located on 25
acres just north of Knoxville. Our mission is to provide
only the highest quality working dogs for personal
protection, sport and law enforcement. We have imported
dogs from the best working lines in the world. Most of
our dogs are from KNPV lines however, these dogs also
excel in schutzhund, ring sport and SDA (Service Dogs of
America). We specialize in Belgian Malinois,
Dutch Malinois, German Shepherds and Dutch Shepherds.
We have also trained other breeds such as American Pit
Bull Terriers, Rottweilers and Doberman Pinchers.

PennHIP's mission is to develop and
apply evidence based technology to direct appropriate breeding
strategies aimed at reducing in frequency and severity the
osteoarthritis of canine hip dysplasia. The beneficiaries of this effort
will be the many dogs who suffer with this controllable genetic disease
and, of course, their owners.
PennHIP incorporates a new method for evaluating the integrity of the
canine hip. It is accurate in puppies as young as 16 weeks of age. It
has great potential to lower the frequency of CHD when used as a
selection criterion.
